We operated a small store front from 1998 through 2005 and have since moved the business back home to allow me to home school our son, Steven.

 As many of you know, we are adoptive parents and have battled many years of infertility issues.  After so many disappointing years of dealing with the stresses of miscarriage and infertility we decided to explore other options right in our own community.  We looked into Foster-Parenting with the goal of adoption.  We attended a local training provided by our state and became Foster-Parents.

In February of 2000, Steven was placed with us with a goal of adoption.  He was placed with us on his sixth birthday.  Steven was adopted by John and I in November of 2000.  Steven has been a challenge and a joy.  He struggles with behavior issues which come and go.  When things are good they are really good and when things go wrong it can be quite trying and pulls at your heart strings. 

Without having the opportunity to be a Work at Home Mom, I don't think we would have been able to be such a vital part of Steven's growth.  We have been able to be there to meet his needs and I have been able to be home with him and provide an education for him that was not otherwise satisfactory in our eyes.

In addition to running the business online we also showcase our products at vendor fairs and county fairs.  I have taken over all aspects of our website including the designing of the sites that we own and operate. 

I am also the owner of Direct Sales Mommies which is an affiliate site to Joyce's Create A Book for moms looking to work from home or looking for products or services provided by moms.  New for March of 2010 is our newest company, Simply Sweet and Naughty featuring adult novelties and party supplies, must be 18 to enter that site.
